Make your own storm proof matches

I have known about storm proof matches for years but I just cant see spending the money on them. I do my best to improve upon existing technology or at least draw my ideas for gear from it. Well livetoseetomorrow did it again, with stormproof matches that are hand made and burn for around 10 minutes

Heres the video around 1:30 the big flame comes.

What ya need
  • Toilet Paper
  • Regular matches
  • Sparklers made with wood sticks
  • Old pair of blue jeans
  • Dryer lint
  • A candle
Build it
  1. Rip off a piece of shit paper and fold it in half length wise and then width wise.
  2. Cut a sparkler into 3 pieces and cut the rest of the stick in half. Make sure you cut the sparkler over the tp
  3. Place a 1.5"x1.5" piece of blue jeans and a piece of lint on the tp
  4. Now start rolling the matches and sparklers as tight as you can.
  5. Continue rolling the blue jeans and lint into the tp
  6. Once you reach the end place a small piece of tape around the center of your match
  7. Melt down the candle in a soda can
  8. Dip both sides of the fire starter in the liquid wax until it is evenly coated.
Done. When it's time to light the match strike it on the box and it'll light. The sparklers will ignite after about 30 seconds. When the sparklers ignite they will burn hot as hell. Try to have the match under tinder before the sparkler ignites because I've had these things shoot across the ground if they are not under tinder.
This match works awesome and it burns for right around 10 minutes. If the wind happens to blow it out no big deal it will reignite as soon as you get a flame near it. The denim will be the last thing to go out and essentially becomes char cloth.
If you can't get a fire going with this match you better just stay at home.
