7 Reasons Why You Should Always Have A Trash Bag In Your Bug Out Bag

Most of the time when you think of a trash bag you think of a garbage can but here is 7 ways it can be a valuable survival tool.
  1. You can use it as a poncho if you cut armholes and a hole for your head
  2. Fill it with air, tie it up, and use it for a float
  3. Cut it into pieces for several solar stills
  4. Waterproof the roof of your shelter
  5. Cut it down the center, run a line between two posts, and you can use it as a tent
  6. Put your pack in a garbage bag to waterproof it
  7. Fill a garbage bag with water, seal the bag, and place it in the sun. The bag will act like a water heater.

  1. Carry 2. 1 for your poncho or waterproofing and another for a rain catch.

  2. Actually excellent advice, it's a simple thing but I've used it for several of these reasons before and a couple of them (like the hobo hot shower) are new to me.
