How to make a survival candle

Light is important to a survivor it boosts morale and will help you see in the dark. Survival candles are cheap and easy to make. You can have your kids help and you have most of the materials at home. You will need
  • Mason jars
  • Popsicle sticks
  • wax
  • a large pan and a small pan
Start by filling the large pot with water and bringing it to a boil. Place the wax in the small pot and set the small pot into the boiling water. Once the wax melts pour it into the mason jar and before it hardens place a Popsicle stick in it. Some people prefer to use wicks but i prefer wood wicks because they burn for much longer and conserve candle wax. That's about all there is to it with wood wicks you need to hold the flame to the wick a little longer the first time you light it but after that it will light easier. Make several of these candles and you wont have to worry about being caught in the dark.
